MFIHLAKALO Special School is a school for SID (Severely Intellectual Disable) learners. The school is situated in Klipgat area, on the verge of North-West and Gauteng Province, six kilometres away from Morula Sun. The school was established in 1995. The move to open this school was prompted susceptibility of learners experiencing challenges (barriers) when crossing the roads, amongst others as one learner was involved in a terrible accident, as he was travelling to Mphoentle Special School in Ga-Rankuwa. The school support all other neighbouring schools. The school strives to provide learners with the vocational skills so that they can be able to do something once they exit the school. Currently the school has over 180 leaners, one (01) principal, two (02) SMT (school management team) members and twelve (12) educators. Most of the learners are orphans with severe health challenges such as: Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Epilepsy and others.
Our school motto, "Rea Dira / We Are Working," reflects our commitment to hard work, growth, and never giving up. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to unlock the full potential of every learner.
We provide holistic support — academic, emotional, vocational, and social — to ensure our learners are prepared to participate meaningfully in the community.

We welcome applications from learners between the ages of 6 and 18 who have been identified with special educational needs. Our admissions process is caring, simple, and parent-friendly.
